June Matthews was born on the Isle of Wight, UK, and came to live in Ireland at the age of eight. She studied art at The Crawford School of Art in Cork.
She works in oils and her main subjects are landscapes, seascapes and abstract works. June has developed a unique approach to depicting nautical scenes in her abstract work.
